Or can't find your playlists by voice? It is hard to believe that any major company would release an app this bad. It is harder still to believe it when Google used to have a music app that actually worked and they replaced it with this pile of useless garbage. Worthless junk. YouTube Music on Android TV sucks. What a horrible experience. Want to search for an album by an artist? No can do unless you have uploaded it and then navigate to the album alphabetically. This is the worst music experience ever. What happened to Google Play Music? The integration with YouTube means you cannot search music only.
All searches return YouTube videos. I waited a bit to see if Google would fix this rotten app on Android TV. I guess they don't think it's worth the upgrade. What are you waiting for Google? We polished a few things, fixed bugs, and made some performance improvements. This is by far the worst app for listening to music that I have ever used. And I have the paid subscription. It takes a gazillion clicks to find my recent or commonly used playlists. Why do I have to click like five times to reach my playlists???? The playlists are not sorted alphabetically. Just awful. The web app is equally frustrating. When I first got the App years ago it was great. The app is still working wonderfully when it comes to finding songs, getting recommendations, and adding music to a playlist.
And I really like the inclusion of accessing community playlists. It will stop play early in the playlist, or glitch out altogether and stop at one song. The app was perfectly fine before the most recent update, December 3rd, as of writing, but now the widget in my notification bar won't work, it just randomly decides to stop playing music, the music stutters and lags sometimes, and the app is generally slower and clunkier.
